About
In April 2007, our family bought and moved into a 2 acre smallholding in north Shropshire. It may be small, but its more than enough to allow us to start living life in a way would could only previously dreamed about.
Although neither of us were born into farming families, Kate & I have both had involvement with agriculture at some point in our past.
Kate spent time at boarding school in Derbyshire, and the children were responsible for running the school farm. They did the whole nine yards - with some direction from the farm manager.
I went to agricultural college in Devon, and for a while, worked for a few different conservation charities in various parts of the UK.
At some point, we both ended up back in the city - until having kids made us reconsider they way we lived.
